Rose City Notary
1. Do I need a form of ID?
Yes.  Any client who needs to have a document notarized must have a form of identification with them.  This includes driver's
license, State ID, military ID, credit card w/ photo, passport, and student ID.  Any witnesses involved should also have an ID
with them.

2. I have a client who is disabled or unable to travel but they need to have something notarized.  May I go to get
their documents notarized in their place?
You may accompany him/ her for transportation or escort purposes, but any client who needs notary service must be present at
the time of the appointment to prevent potential identity fraud.  If they cannot leave their place of establishment, you can arrange
for a notary public to go to you, keeping in mind that there are applicable travel fees.

3. What form of payments do you accept?
We accept Personal checks (verifiable with ID), money orders, cashier's checks, money order, cash and credit cards. You will
be provided with a receipt. Please note that there is a $25 fee for all returned checks and client will be responsible for all fees
incurred by Rose City Notary.

4. I come from a low income family or am a non-profit organization and may not be able to afford the travel fees.  Do
you compensate for such situations?
Yes.  If you have documents verifying your low income or 501c3 status, we can either
waive the travel fee or charge a lower rate which needs to be discussed prior to the appointment.

. With gas prices going up, do you charge extra for mileage?
No.  Rose City Notary strives to provide excellent client services while maintaining affordability.  The only time travel fees will
be adjusted is in accordance with travel time.  Portland city limits will remain at a $15 flat fee (until it is necessary to adjust to
inflation); anywhere outside of Portland City limits will be a $25 fee per hour - putting into consideration that certain areas are
congested with traffic, one should prepare to pay up to $40.  This is in addition to the signature fee of $5.00 each.
